Wellcome Career Development Awards. This scheme provides funding for mid-career researchers from any discipline who have the potential to be international research leaders. They will develop their research capabilities, drive innovative programmes of work and deliver significant shifts in understanding related to human life, health and wellbeing.

Fogarty Global Infectious Disease Research Training (GID). This research training program addresses research training needs related to infectious diseases that are predominantly endemic in or impact upon people living in developing countries. The ultimate goal is to build a critical mass of researchers and support staff to conduct independent infectious disease research in developing country institutions.

They welcome applications from across all areas of our remit to improve human health. This may range from basic studies with relevance to mechanisms of disease, to translational and developmental clinical research. They also welcome applications for interdisciplinary approaches or research which will address global health issues and be of benefit to those living in low and middle-income countries.

This joined programme aims to fund ‘plug and play’ veterinary vaccine platforms, leveraging transformative technologies, interdisciplinary approaches, and cross-sector partnerships, focusing on entire platform technology pipeline from antigen discovery to delivery and underpinned by immunological understanding to address unmet veterinary vaccine needs.

UKRI Transdisciplinary research to tackle antimicrobial resistance: full application. Apply for funding to undertake ambitious transdisciplinary research to tackle antimicrobial resistance (AMR). You must have submitted a notification of intent at pre-application stage to be eligible to make a full application. This flagship initiative is an opportunity to better understand, detect, and disrupt the emergence of AMR in animals, humans, and plants using a One Health and Planetary Health approaches.

14th International Veterinary Immunology Symposium (IVIS2025). IVIS2025 will address the challenging research issues raised for veterinary science in a One World – One Health perspective. BactiVac Network will be hosting a Pre-Symposium Workshop on 11 August 2025. IVIS2025 will bring together experts to share the most exciting results and insights in the field of veterinary science and immunology, including biological mechanisms underlying host-pathogen interactions and specificities, vaccine and therapeutic strategies, innate and protective immunity, disease diagnosis and control, and reagent and methodological developments.

19th International Congress on Immunology (IUIS).  The Scientific Program offers six days of sessions, networking events, symposia and workshops. IUIS 2025 will cover many different areas of basic, translational and clinical immunology. Their aim is to significantly extend the knowledge of all delegates – from those who are in the early stages of their career to globally renowned key opinion leaders.

Organized by Vaccine, the premier journal for those interested in vaccine science, the congress will bring together leading experts from all over the world to share the latest cutting-edge discoveries in the field. International Vaccine Institute's (IVI) 2025 International Vaccinology Course: Vaccines in a Changing World: Innovation and Access. Through a multidisciplinary lens, the course will examine the science, policies, and collaborative efforts required to ensure that vaccines remain a cornerstone of global health in the face of continuous change. The IVI Vaccinology Fellowship grants all-inclusive financial support to selected researchers from low- or middle-income countries; The deadline to submit IVI Vaccinology Fellowship applications is 26 May 2025 at 23:59 Korea Standard Time.
