MRC Infections and immunity: programme: responsive mode. Apply for funding to support a programme of research focused on infections and immunity. The Infections and Immunity Board (IIB) aims to develop scientific knowledge that extends our understanding of human infectious disease and the role of the immune system in inflammation, immune-mediated disease, and cancer.

Medical Research Council Postdoctoral clinical research training fellowship. Apply for funding to reacquire research skills. We welcome applications from across all areas of our remit to improve human health. This may range from basic studies with relevance to mechanisms of disease, to translational and developmental clinical research. We also welcome applications for interdisciplinary approaches or research which will address global health issues and be of benefit to those living in low and middle-income countries.

Wellcome Early-Career Awards. This scheme provides funding for early-career researchers from any discipline who are ready to develop their research identity. Through innovative projects, they will deliver shifts in understanding related to human life, health and wellbeing. By the end of the award, they will be ready to lead their own independent research programme.

Medical Research Council (MRC) Developmental pathway funding scheme: stage one. Apply for funding to develop and test novel therapeutics, medical devices, diagnostics and other interventions. All diseases and interventions are eligible for support. You can also address global health issues. Vaccines for infectious or non-infectious disease are one of the many activities supported during this call.

9th AMR Conference. The conference will cover the whole innovation value chain, including scientific breakthrough, preclinical and clinical development, but also financial topics such as public funding for R&D, market incentive and investors’ perspective. Specific sessions will be dedicated to access, manufacturing and financing. There will also be a focus on One Health and on the growing threat of sexually transmitted diseases.
25 – 26 Feb 2025 in Basel, Switzerland

 

The Microbiology Society Annual Conference 2025. The Conference takes place over four days and consists of scientific symposia, workshops, fora, professional development sessions, Prize Lectures, Hot Topics and much more. Abstract submission for the Microbiology Society Annual Conference is now open until 23:59 GMT on 12 November 2024. The session organisers will review submitted abstracts and submitters will be notified of the outcome directly in December 2024.

14th International Veterinary Immunology Symposium (IVIS2025). IVIS2025 will address the challenging research issues raised for veterinary science in a One World – One Health perspective. IVIS2025 will also bring together experts to share the most exciting results and insights in the field of veterinary science and immunology, including biological mechanisms underlying host-pathogen interactions and specificities, vaccine and therapeutic strategies, innate and protective immunity, disease diagnosis and control, and reagent and methodological developments.

19th International Congress on Immunology (IUIS).  The Scientific Program offers six days of sessions, networking events, symposia and workshops. IUIS 2025 will cover many different areas of basic, translational and clinical immunology. Their aim is to significantly extend the knowledge of all delegates – from those who are in the early stages of their career to globally renowned key opinion leaders.

Organized by Vaccine, the premier journal for those interested in vaccine science, the congress will bring together leading experts from all over the world to share the latest cutting-edge discoveries in the field.
