Higher and Degree Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships offer a balance of practical work-based experience with traditional university study.

Higher and degree apprenticeships are a unique way of combining classroom teaching with real-life work experience, enabling you to get the best of both worlds.

For an employer, apprenticeship programmes provide an opportunity to address skill gaps by recruiting new talent or developing, upskilling and retaining current staff as the business evolves.

For apprentices, it is a way of putting theory into practice and gaining a wealth of experience whilst achieving a formal qualification without the cost of fees and student loans.

The university has a good reputation, and the campus and facilities are great. Going back into the university environment was a real challenge to begin with but the lecturers, administration team and fellow students have all been approachable and supportive. The combination of practical skills and theoretical knowledge that I have experienced so far will be really useful to my planning role.
