Postgraduate Access Scholarship Application Form

Scholarships worth £4,000 with wrap-around support for students from under-represented backgrounds beginning an eligible Masters in 2026

As part of £1.4 million's worth of scholarships for Home postgraduate students, the University of Birmingham is proud to offer scholarships worth £4,000 each to enhance the accessibility of postgraduate study for students from widening participation backgrounds.

Applications are open

These scholarships are open to Home fee-paying students commencing an eligible Masters course in the 2026/27 academic year.

To apply to the Postgraduate Access Scholarship, you must have already submitted a study application for a course commencing in 2026. Once you have applied and have an Applicant ID, you can complete the short form below.

Due to the high volume of applications, the Postgraduate Access Scholarship will have two rounds:

  • The deadline for round one is 23:59 (UK time) on 31 March 2026.
  • The deadline for round three is 23:59 (UK time) on 31 July 2026.

If you are made a reserve in a round, you do not need to re-apply to the scholarship scheme as your application will be automatically carried over into the following rounds.
