Careers Network played a significant role in preparing me for my career. They provided guidance on resume building, interview preparation, and job search strategies and organized career fairs and networking events that allowed me to connect with top employers, including investment banks. The Careers Network also helped me secure a summer internship, which was a valuable experience that helped me build my skills and confidence.

    Working whilst you study

Last year we had over 6,000 opportunities for students to work in roles across campus, ranging from one-off, short-term projects to longer, 3-month contracts. Students can work up to 20 hours a week, and rates of pay for University roles begin at approx. £13 an hour (which is equivalent to approx. 1,480 INR per hour).

Roles available to students included Exam Invigilator, Student Ambassador, Events Coordinator, IT AV Assistant, Podcast Audio Editor, SATNAV Chatbot Developer, and Data and CRM Support Officer.

As well as earning while you study, these roles also provide the opportunity to gain vital employability skills which will benefit you after you graduate.
