Neuroimaging methods and AI
The Centre is at the forefront of developing methods to analyse neuroimaging data and techniques to record brain activity. We create analysis pipelines such as FLUX pipeline for analysing magnetoencephalography data.
Researchers working across psychology, neuroscience, computer science and physics come together to develop multimodal combinations of different techniques for human neuroscience, including the advanced methods that are needed for their analysis based on data science and AI. We combine these techniques to extract more nuanced information about brain function, including MEG-fMRI, EEG-fMRI, EEG- and OPM-TMS and FUS, and EEG-fNIRS. The Centre also leads on developing optically pumped magnetometers (OPMs), a revolutionary wearable MEG system that can be used to record brain activity across the lifespan.
