The 32nd Conference of the European Second Language Association

Generally considered the foremost meeting for second language researchers in Europe, the 2023 conference of the European Second Language Association (EuroSLA) will bring together for the thirty-second year researchers working on second language acquisition, processing, and use from across the world. The conference will be hosted at the University of Birmingham from 30 August to 2 September 2023.

Refund policy

  • Up to 14 July: 80% registration fees refunded
  • 15 July to 14 August: 50% registration fees refunded. No refund on hotel rooms.
  • After 15 August: No refund

Venue and travel

The conference will be based in our Aston Webb Building, at the heart of our university in Chancellor's Court. This is R6 on our university campus map.

Food and drink

Lunches and refreshments will be provided for conference delegates. There will also be a drinks reception, and the option to register and pay for the conference dinner as part of our registration process.
