Biography

Marcelle Grace is currently a serving Major in the British Army, having commissioned from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 2006. Marcelle joined the Education and Training Services branch of the Army and has served in Germany, Iraq, The Falklands, Canada and the UK. Marcelle left the Army in 2010 and worked for Barclays in Canary Wharf and St. James’s Place Wealth Management before returning to the Army in 2016.

Marcelle’s PhD is fully funded and supported by the Army who commissioned the research following the House of Commons Defence Committee report in 2021, into the lived experiences of women in the Armed Forces. The findings of Marcelle’s PhD will contribute to the recruitment, early socialisation and retention of women in the organisation
