Dr Adrian Dante Garcia
RSG Co-Leader and RSE Service Lead
I co-lead the Research Software Group, which is the researcher-facing part of Advanced Research Computing. I also share responsibility for horizon scanning and policy formation on AI. As the Lead for the Research Software Engineering Service, I am the first point of contact between researchers and our super-talented Research Software Engineers.
I am interested in all aspects of software development that contribute to improving research outcomes. I have a particular interest in containerisation, microservices architectures, retrieval augmented generative AI, and serverless runtimes like Quarkus.
My research background is in Computing and Neuroscience - I have a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science, MSc Advanced Computer Science, MSc Physical Science of Imaging in the Biomedical Sciences, and PhD in Neuroscience (neural correlates of inhibitory neurotransmitter and learning performance using magnetic resonance technologies MRI/MRS), available here.
I joined ARC in February 2022 as a Senior RSE and I am proud to be part of an expanded Service that has quadrupled in size since then. See you in future collaborations!
