Dr James Allsopp
Senior Research Software Engineer
After completing a PhD in Astrophysics, James spent ten years handling data for researchers, both in industry and the NHS, before joining the University of Birmingham's RSG in 2022. He uses Python, C#, C++ and R to make data accessible to researchers and administering systems to do that, from creating secure research environments to predicting patient outcomes with Machine Learning. He completed a MPhys in Physics and an MSc in Software Systems Engineering at the University of Sheffield.
