Her area of interest in research is how a Malaysian government agency works on its sustainability management practice. Government agencies are often large and bureaucratic entities that could find it challenging to apply sustainability practices because of their complexity and scale. The study aims to shed light on how individuals within a government agency work in supporting sustainability management practices and how that support can act to further the SDGs.

Biography

Norfahis begin her PhD studies in accounting at Birmingham Business School in September 2021 with a scholarship from Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), a Malaysian government agency. Her current research focus is on the sustainability management practices of a Malaysian government agency. Prior to joining the Business School as a PhD student in accounting, she worked as an Account Payables Specialist for five different organisations in two different industries (banking and oil&gas). Norfahis also has an MSc in Accounting, Governance, and Financial Management from the University of Sheffield.
